Information, not professional advice

Everything on Dotgreen is general information and opinion about sustainable homes, climate and green technology. It is not engineering, construction, electrical, legal, financial or tax advice. Buildings, climates, energy prices, incentives and regulations differ widely, so results will vary. Savings and emissions figures are illustrations, not promises. Before starting building work, altering wiring, gas or heating systems, or installing equipment, consult a suitably qualified and registered professional and follow the manufacturer’s instructions and local rules.

Ownership of content

The writing, design and original artwork are owned by the operator or used with permission. Reading the pages, quoting brief extracts with clear attribution and sharing links are all fine. You must obtain written permission before you reproduce whole articles, repost them elsewhere or put them to commercial use.

Acceptable use

You agree not to attempt unauthorised access, overload the site with automated requests, distribute malicious code, send spam through it or use it for unlawful purposes. Access may be restricted by us when needed to safeguard the site and its readers.

What you send us

By submitting a question, correction or suggestion, you confirm that you are entitled to share it. You allow us to read it and use the ideas in it to improve the site, with no obligation to reply or publish.
